I bought a stiptic pencil at Walgreens. I think it cost a dollar. It stops bleeding and lasts forever.
I soak a pair of cuticle scissors in alcohol for a few minutes. Wipe the skin tag with alcohol. Rub it with the moistened stiptic pencil and snip off the skin tag quickly. Then I rub it with the stiptic pencil again. Then a put one of those little round band-aids on the spot for about 24 hours.
I paid a fortune to the dermatologist to remove those things and new ones kept arriving. Now I get rid of them for free as soon as they're big enough to snip. I currently have none and no scars and I like my smooth neck.
I do recommend the stiptic pencil. The first time I did it without one and it seeped blood for two days. Ugh. Cuticle scissors are better than nail clippers because they're thinner bladed and you can see what you're doing in the mirror. It hurts pretty bad if you accidentally cut healthy skin because you can't see around the nail clipper to see what you're doing. If you cut just the tag, it's a quick pinch and that's all.
If you don't want to take up surgery, you can coat the tag in clear nail polish. It's supposed to fall off in a week or two if you keep it coated. Don't ask me how that works, but I read about it in a newspaper doctor column.
