I don't know your exact compulsions so what I'm saying may not be relevant but I think to a point we all have a level of OCD. It's only a major worry if those repetitive actions are interfering with daily life. For example, I check my water tap in my sink two or three times to ensure it is off before bed. I know it's weird and quirky but because I'm not checking it two or three hundred times, I don't worry about my habit. I think it's a judgment call you or a close acquaintance has to make.
