No fever, is no fever. If the school nurse, didn't call right away, then you made an acceptable judgment call.

My half sister went up one side and down the other of me, when I was in court, with my initial divorce proceedings and my son had gotten sick, and I needed to get to my part time job, after court. He was with my mom who was ailing and her husband, before my stepmother and sister had picked the kids off, before my then soon to be ex, could watch them for the night.
You'd have thunk, I'd committed a mortal sin, the way she judged the situation. My keeping a part time job was necessary to get out of an abusive marriage, but I digress.

The nurse didn't send your child home, you did nothing wrong.
