Perhaps you give the real you in the first contacts. It's possible that you feel less anxiety because you don't have to compare yourself with anyone, neither with yourself. All is new.
I knew someone is gonna choose -groups- for interactions. I'm curious. When you see yourself in a group and you realized of the fact that the rest of the people interact really well ones with the others except you, don't you feel the urgente of running away.
This is why I feel so uncomfortable in a group.
Don't you compare yourself with the others?
