Prozac made me aggressive, I was recently prescribed Citalopram (SSRI) it also made me very angry, jumpy (exactly as you describe) bad tempered, irrational, queasy, headache., appetite and sex drive switched off ...I could not persevere with it, I stopped after 3 days.
I'm back on tricyclics, at least I know they don't don't have any disastrous side effects (for me anyway !).
Coming off SSRI's (to my knowledge, and in my experience) is much worse than coming off other a/d's.
As we all know though, what is a disaster for one person can be another person's saviour. I'd talk to your doctor again.
I hope you get sorted out, it can make life hell for the people we live with too. I had to stop as I was giving my partner hell and yelling at my children.
