That's a hard one for me to answer as I'm sort of thinking it could really represent itself in so many different ways.

And I'm also thinking of the age old saying - it takes two to tango - so im alluding to the fact that if he is not separated emotionally from his mother - what is the mother doing to enable this behavior?

And then there's the thing that I've always thought. If you want to know how a man will treat you in a relationship look at how he treats his mother (barring dysfunctional mothers).

Years ago it was hard for me to watch my husbands interaction (at the time he was just my boyfriend) with his mother because they are extremely close and I wasn't used to that.
