I highly recommend this product:

It is a Swiss peeler, made by an old and reputable company, that lets you take peel off soft fruit. I use it for Kiwis. I buy Kiwis at Costco (no, they are not organic) and with this peeler, I can take the peel off in 1/2 min and then eat the whole fruit. For a baby, one would need to remove that tough part of the core that is near the top of the fruit.
Kiwis are fun to eat - textures, color variation, little seeds, moistness - and they provide more vitamin C than oranges do.
If you brown a little organic ground beef and pair it with chopped up kiwis, the meal would be very interesting for the baby from the sensory perception perspective, and, would provide that synergy of vit C + iron meal that aids the absorption of iron by the body.
