i hear what you are saying here. i'm not british, but if i was i'd feel the same way as you.

it is funny how drafts go, eh (not that there is a draft on this).

start with the people who are unemployed...
moving to the unskilled workers...
and so on and so forth.

i think it sucks. i don't think that people should be exempted because of how much money they have and / or their place (or their parents place) in society.

it is kind of putting a different worth on the value of different lives.

i bet the other guys in the unit don't get to say 'i don't wanna do this anymore 'cause it could be dangerous to my health'.

but then i'm a pacifist.

back in the 'good old days' leaders used to lead by example. thinking here of alexander the great and leaders that led people into combat. now leaders seem to fly around in their luxury jet while the people they are meant to be serving are sent to the slaughter.

sucks.
