He punched me in the shoulder once, five in quick succession. It left a nasty bruise and I told him that I would leave if he did it again. Other than that he threw things a couple of times. My ex would not get help. That is something that you have that I didn't. In the end when I told him "any kind of help or divorce" I'm glad he chose divorce because I don't think he would've stuck with it.
