Somehow educating your parents is a good strategy for now. It is not uncommon for a doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist to meet with parents to educate them. Also if you can get them to read anything on it online. Parents can be in denial. Fighting for your well being and self advocating is hard but something we have to learn to do.
