Ear protection? Been using them for years (not long enough) while mowing & stuff. Ear plugs not work so good and often do slowly slide out. Ear phones, thick good kind ($40) work great but not to wear all day, begins to rub parts of head, rod over head connecting two parts over each ear, can slide down, and too bulky to sleep with. Buy a small cheap boom box, late at night when he is asleep, hide it outside his house somewhere, in the thick bushes, as loud as it will go, and maybe he will have to search for it. But then again he may be death from all the loud music.
