Finally got the call back to my lawyer to send out the divorce papers for STBXH to sign......now if only he will sign them & not ignore them like he did with the IRS.
Has a list of all the things that if I ever get back to Calif....I claim as mine....which also stops him from getting rid of those things (in theory). He's always been such a jerk to communicate with & it hasn't changed being gone.
Can't wait to get him completely OUT OF MY LIFE.
Lawyer said if he doesn't sign the papers....I can go ahead & get a divorce without asset settlement......why that would cost more is beyond me.........just filing for divorce is something I should be able to do myself if it's just about getting divorced.....it's the asset crap that is more of an issue I would think.......need to do some research on that......
