I certainly recognize now thst I made choices (well, I did when I was older - kind of hard to have a say on what's going on when you're under 18). I just didn't think I had a choice then. I was so used to doing what I was expected to do that it never occurred to me to decide differently. It's taken time in therapy to realize this and to start stepping up to the plate which is why I told my H what I did and he's a good guy and wants me to be satisfied with my life too. Part of that is getting back to school and doing graduate work.
