I don't think anyone tells the whole story anywhere. Not just to be bothersome, but because what is important in one way, is not important in another - or to one person versus another person. I was telling the therapist something recently and she was all like "you never said that before" and I said of course not, it had not come up before in any way I would have thought to tell her.
People tell their stories the way the see them at any given moment or give parts for specific reasons for them.
