I thought students were due what they were awarded no matter what, so if they were awarded a certain amount of Pell grant, and certain amount of Stafford loan, for example, that was their award, and the school was just a fiduciary so to speak, the school is not loaning you money out of their pocket per say, that's why the different answers confuse me. I have to pay back the loans, the pell is a grant from the federal governement and so I don't see why it should be up to them. I guess I am mis-informed or something. The one counselor said to me, you know they are giving you money, I said no they are not!
