Question one: Yes. Infrequently and erratically (Most days and weeks not, but sometimes a couple of times a week and sometimes months of not.) It's probably worth noting that I'm pretty particular about circumstances. If there is a lot of turmoil, or I am in a bad state of mind, no. But if things are calm and I am just going to be relaxing, listening to music or doing art, then I might choose to.
Question two: It's too much of a blanket declaration for me to come down one way or the other on it. It's very much an individualized thing. If it affects you badly, then don't(!!) If it does not present problems, it comes down to weighing personal factors. Such as….Is it legal where you live? If not, are you ok with that? Is workplace testing a concern?
You ask our experiences. For me, it is a good experience. But for BF, it is totally opposite. It makes him very paranoid. He won't touch it.
But maybe someone doesn't really know how it affects them (I don't mean just in the moment, but overall.) Bipolarartist mentions a very good idea -- chart it on a mood chart. It might reveal a pattern. (This is also a good thing to do for alcohol.) For example…maybe one thinks it's all fine, but then the charting shows a pattern of downward swings (or other problematic symptoms) following it. That'd be worth knowing!
