One of the kittens we bottle fed, was right on the verge of death when we found him. He was so weak, he could not sit up or swallow and I had to stroke his throat to get him to swallow formula. Today I realized he has never meowed out loud. I noticed he was quiet, but didn't realize until today that it's like he doesn't really have a voice. He mouths a 'meow' but no sound comes out. I am wondering if I somehow damaged his vocal cords when I was getting him to swallow.
