Some years ago I adopted a "senior" cat from the Humane Society. He didn't vocalize the meow, either. He would mouth it, but no sound would come out. I always wondered if he had always silently meowed or if it was due to his age or health.

I miss him so much. He was the sweetest, lovey-dovey-ist being I've ever come across — and I've known some real sweethearts!
