I guess I'd have trouble with wishing I knew someone from the group before I went to the group :-) Do you know the leader or anything? I often drag friends to stuff when I have to go the first time, both to make sure I go and to have a bit of a feeling of "safety"/support if I don't like it or it doesn't go well, etc.
