hankster, thanks again for recommending I google the silent meow thing. I asked my H and D if they had ever heard this kitten meow and they both looked at me like I was weird and said they had. Apparently, I am the only one he does the silent meow thing with.

He also still does this cute thing he started when he was tiny, where he comes to me and stands on his hind legs and when I bend down, he jumps up into the air for me to catch and hold him. It is getting harder to catch him now that he is 8 pounds instead of 14 ounces, but it is the most adorable thing ever. He is only eight months old and already 8 pounds. I think he is going to be a big boy.
