Welcome to Psych Central, hpie. Sorry to hear you are feeling down about your situation.

A friend went to the ER and they gave them Atavan. When she went to her pdoc they got a prescription for Lorazapem (generic Atavan) and took that at night before sleeping. getting a good night sleep made them feel better.

The other thing they changed was to go on a high protein low carb diet and the white outs and blank outs diminished and the emotions got tamed. I think it was called a Hypoglycemia diet.

If my friend found the meds had negative effects, call up the pdoc and they were changed.

My parents always said as they get older the days went faster. I find that to be true. Often times it is a sign for me to refocus on my goals. Setting even little attainable goals can boost confidence. Cleaning up the room, cleaning the bathroom or dishes. These can be confidence boosters. For me part of feeling better is doing things. Then something in me feels okay. Other people may draw a sense of satisfaction in different ways.

Thanks for visiting PC.
