Gee, you say in so many words that you literally do not want professional help, the truth is it works and I cannot see you discarding the possiblity to a better way, better sense of well being.
I too balked at getting professional help but it was worth it in the long run, it literally saved my life.
I always find it hard when a person is feeling miserable rather physical or emotional and refuses help, there is no miracles, no easy way.
The best I can suggest is to swallow your pride or come out of denial (I know I've been there) and see a therapist, then they may refer you to a pdoc if you need
meds to help the process of getting to a better state.
Remember there is NO easy way, you need to work with a mental health professional, otherwise you are only fooling yourself, and will not get very far.
Life is much too short and can be beautiful, to allow yourself to be miserable, stuck in the pit.
I wish you lots of luck and hope you will reconsider going for help.
Please take care,
