I don't think CE was comparing to anyone else. I don't see why someone isn't entitled to feel disappointed. We all are dependent on salaries etc. My husband hasn't had a raise in four years and since then we've had a second child. I can see how someone would get upset if they hadn't had their earnings increase in... eight years? You start a job with a certain level of expectation of pay.
The economy really sucked and even though they say it's getting better, I haven't felt the change.
