I got the mirena (progesterone IUD) last week, and my mood has been crashing ever since. There are situational factors too, so I'm not sure if the Mirena has caused it. I looked it up, and it says 5% of people will have mood swings or get depressed. But I discussed it with my pdoc and GP, and they both thought it would be fine. I think it was a terrible decision, and I wish I had stayed with copper, which was what I had before. Has anyone else had bad experiences with Mirena and mood? It's not supposed to be contraindicated in bipolar, but I think maybe it should be.

Also, my pdoc increased my wellbutrin a couple days ago because of I'm getting depressed. Since the increase I've been feeling nauseas, no appetite, and spaced out. I don't know if that's the wellbutrin increase, or hormones from mirena, or something else.

I want this out now! Worst idea!
