The man is having an orgasm and a release.... and actually with appropriate stimulation often the woman will have her orgasm prior to intercourse (sometimes during) and have some satisfaction before hand and after.... Tis a matter of mutual respect and desire for each other to be satisfied. Also, irregardless of orgasm, there can still be the filling that we desire and feelings that are certainly pleasant.
