theres a med thats a long word with "Dexa" at the beginning. it reacts in the same way vyvanse does(but isnt extended release. and also doesnt have vyvanse in it).
have they tried you on two 30mgs of vyvanse in the morning? or 30 and a 40mg? or has it always been just one pill of vyvanse.
also you'll wanna make sure you're eating either right before, during or after you eat. the food will make it last longer in the day. i found that out after many years and a pharmacist said that without eating with it, the body takes it all in at once instead of the extended release method.

have you been able to take a few days to a week break off of these stimulants? it will restart the tolerance once its out of your system and the brain is functioning without the meds.

energy drinks (red bull) can boost mental functions. which is another stimulant.

theres stratterra too (but i wouldnt recommend that one to anyone(a few searches on it and that will likely find those who absolutely love it, and those who absolutely hates it.

Technically, ADHD Inattentive Type IS the same thing as ADD, but ADD isn't used very often because of how they're classified by DSM 4 (I think, they're both officially called AD/HD). I'll look up the dexa. I can't take two Vyvanse caps during the day because my doctor is positive that my insurance won't cover two doses per day. But I'm already on the highest dose, 70 mg, in the morning so it wouldn't make much difference to just take a 40 and a 30 instead of the 70.

I definitely take it with food. It doesn't suppress my appetite like it used to so I'm just eating normally. I've taken breaks from the stimulants before, but while I wasn't taking them, I was completely non functional and miserable, and my tolerance was back up within 2-3 days of starting up again.

Energy drinks/coffee/caffeine don't touch me, unfortunately. The first time I knew I was dealing with a problem was a day when I woke up at 7, took the 70 mg of Vyvanse, drank a cup of coffee, went to work, drank a RedBull, felt no different so I took the Adderal, and then still had to go out to my car for a nap at about 11:30.

And I've only heard really bad things about Straterra and I watched my fiance go through a really rough struggle when he reacted badly to it. I'm scared to go that route because I just ... don't have time to wait weeks to see if it works, and I'm worried about the effects it will have if it's bad. I have a lot of agitation and anger (some pretty severe mood swings), and that's one of the symptoms that Straterra is known to exacerbate.

Thanks for your input! I'm just really hopeful that something that helps comes up soon.
