Stopping is a very, very hard thing. I think one of the things that makes it hard to "just stop" is that cutting is a coping tool. It may be a harmful coping tool, but it does serve a purpose. So I think we need to learn some alternate coping tools, and probably find some support, too, if we are going to stop successfully. It's a hard thing to work on alone.
There is support here, so that's one good thing. I'm wondering if you are seeing a counselor, too? That has been really helping me in coping with this. I know it can help other people too.
