Sounds exactly like what happens to many of my Borderline PD friends and clients. I don't think it is all that terrible, its the correct course of action for those not a real danger to themselves or others. Free up the beds for those that really need it. Use your therapy skills and work on it yourself. Hospital is for those who cant, not those who wont.
