My son is home for the holiday!! He is so tall. He grew while he was away at college. I guess I sort of knew that boys keep growing after high school because someone I went to high school with went from 5'9" to 5'11" the year after we graduated, but I didn't really think about it. My son is over 6 feet now.

My kitten has a deep scratch on his cornea. One of the older cats whacked him. So now the kitten needs eye drops every hour that we are home and awake. His eye hurts too, so he has pain meds, but keeps coming to me and asking to be picked up and cuddled. I have spent a lot of time carrying him everywhere. It's like when my son was little and would fuss as soon as his feet hit the ground. I am re-learning how to do things one handed. Of course, then I have to put drops in and he gets upset and runs away when I'm done. So far, he has forgiven me within ten minutes or so and is back asking to be held. It is going to be a long week.
