I have been clean and sober for twenty years so my mental issues are not related to drugs and alcohol.

My main issue is depression but when it gets bad it causes anxiety and when that gets real bad paranoia. I have to say that meds have been the most effective.

But besides meds I have also been meditating and practicing mindfulness for twenty years. This hasn't really helped my depression but it works great on anxiety.

Also Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Becoming aware of and challenging your thinking. Like if you get paranoid people think your gay.....look rationally at what evidence you have for this being true. Are they really thinking that? How do you know they are thinking that?

Therapy and having a support network of people you can talk to. You can talk to us here.

If you never had these symptoms and it only started after the 251 then chances are it is a lingering effect of that. Lets just assume it was pure. It could still cause these effects long term. I think it will go away because your brain will readjust and get back to normal. Medication temporarily may help that along. The problem would be finding a doctor that understands your situation.

In the mean time my best suggestion is meditation mindfulness and CBT and keep seeing the counselor but be honest with the counselor. It has to be a scary thing. I know it is. Like I said it happened to me with X and meth. You wouldn't believe how whacked my brain chemistry was after five years of meth use. It took over a year to recover. I was in a full blown manic episode with a ton of psychosis for over a year. On heavy meds. All due to meth. My brain did heal though. These things are nothing to F with.
