She starts by putting the paper down that she has taken notes on down and picking up her datebook. Usually at that point we start discussing non therapy type topics (our kids, plan for the week, her dog, etc). I start writing out the check and as soon as I hand it to her she stands up and I do the same...then she gives me a hug. and we walk out the door.
