Life is an objectively pointless endeavor. Nobody has figured out why we are really here and those of us who see through the BS are the ones who are ultimately miserable. Mainly because we recognize our society puts us on a hamster wheel and can see that the happy life that is marketed to us is just a lie designed to get us to be good little consumers.

That's the depressing part and the bad news.

The good news is that we are ahead of the game by realizing that. Most of those people you talk about never do and live out their lives in quiet desperation and mediocrity. Us, on the other hand, we have a chance to grieve over the lie and find ways to move beyond it. Just because there is no objective meaning to our lives doesn't mean we can't find happiness. Our job is to find a new way of living that gets us off the hamster wheel and into something that holds more meaning. Something more real. Something with heart.
