I just returned from viewing Shrek 3 and I laughed quite a bit. Yes, in the beginning the teenagers in the theater were boisterous and self-centered, but after other well behaved children shushed them, it was quiet enough to hear the film!
It was good. There were many inuendoes that made the film safe for children and funny to adults, imo. That Disney spoofs itself is enjoyable. I think it could have been longer and that would have given them time to develop the princesses and their characters (and set them about to being nice again?).
Did you catch the lounge scene where the sign advertised "fried children's fingers".. it went by fast

and the ogre was supposed to be the horrible one?
I risked a mean thunderstorm to see this one, and hadn't been out since my return from Disney on Sunday (except for PT and T) ... and I think I'm better off for doing so.
Hope you find what you like in it. Sorry you didn't like it ((((candy))) I look forward to pirates also. However, the remodeled Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World is NOT NOT worth the time.

Very disappointed... they left the song emphasis out, and much of it was dead area... no theme at all... just a few new spots with the new pirate face... audio was fuzzy too (my sister noticed.) They know they goofed, for it isn't even listed on the wait time board where the popular rides are.
