Hi,
I have a kind of experience like, a bit different. It made me cry when while in a foreign country foreign people told me that there is nothing wrong with me and that I have the right to pursue happiness and that I have the right to fight for it and that I have inherent dignity as every human being. It made me realize that at home people feel sorry for me, people feel pitiful about me and that they did not considered me as equal, but "a lesser woman" or human, including my parents. It was hard to swallow.
