i have the same issue and at times have given up looking for friends. i have a couple that i don't keep in close contact with because they don't call me much. so actually i have given up. sorry. i don't even bother any more. i am always making friends however, but a lot of people are just plain flaky and can't seem to go the distance. talk talk no action no honesty. but people do make friends. it happens. so don't despair too much. just be friendly and make friends or try and maybe one day you and i will hit the jackpot.
