So, the downfall of knowing T's kids and wife: Small school, I have worked with each of his kids. They are great, respectful, fun kids. I care for many of the students elementary and high school including T's kids. T's daughter and my daughter danced a performance together over the fall and got to talk with T's wife a lot. She knows that her husband is my T (that was an understanding between, me T, and his wife.. I wanted her to know because we talked a lot at dance stuff). Anyways, their oldest son I have mentioned has a chronic disease.. That disease is type 1 diabetes. Tonight, when I went to my session, T was running late, he apologized and explained his son is sick hopefully just a stomach bug, but that makes his condition worse. We went on and right near the end of the session his wife calls, and asked him to come home that his son wasn't getting better. We confirmed my next appointment and I wished his son well, and left.
However, I am worried. Now, I would be worried if this was JUST another high school student at our school, or T's wife was just an acquaintance that I talked to every once in awhile at a dance things are kids are at. Or even, just my T's son. That is not the case, the relationships are all very muddled up now. If one of my acquaintance's sons was sick and in the hospital I would shoot them a quick text, saying I hope all is well, do you need something. Or if it was just another high school student I would inquire at school, or something. I just don't know what to do about this worry, and concern I have for T's son.
just wanted to get this all out there.. I will probably delete this in awhile.. a lot of personal details about T that I try to keep out of my posts. In this case however, I don't have a lot of people to talk to about this.
