I struggle deeply with accepting myself and my flaws too, so I know how painful it is. I'd give you some cliche on how the people you wish you were have their own insecurities, but I have never found that very helpful...
I don't know what the answer is for us. I think it has to do with acknowledging the infinite worth of every human being on this planet, and then remembering that you, too, are human. You have value because you exist, because you can think and feel and breathe. Your life matters, and you matter. Unfortunately, while this is easy to understand intellectually it is very difficult to understand emotionally that we have value, and to treat ourselves with the same kindness and respect we'd extend to anyone else.
