This a Rant !

I spent 48 hours IP regular hospital for severe abdominal pain vomiting and diarreha to the point of severe dehydration. Saw my GP he sent me direct admit.

One nurse trying to start an IV , yeah super dehydrated sure go dig around for a vein in 10 places , yes 10 feels great , thanks ! Meanwhile the Hospital Doctor is asking history current and past surgeries etc normal typical questions hows my pain ? poking and prodding me , I was in tears and agony, but he must poke around.. then he asked me to please describe the pain, Okay no problem , then he asked for current meds and diagnosis.. When I got to the " I have Fibro and I have Bipolar .. there was an absolute change in his treatment, I do believe he took a step back , as if me being curled in a fetal position is going to all at once make me to go battshiut crazy jump off the bed and harm him ? My blood pressure at that point was 58/36 and heart rate of 138 , sure signs of dehydration.

I am so tired of "Doctors" dismissing my pain level or my whole reason for seeking medical help just because of Fibro and Bipolar. My Bipolar nor Fibro caused me to vomit and diareha to the point of severe dehydration.

I was extremely dehydrated , beyond pale and even my Gp was shocked that I could even get to his office . I had no options.

The Doctor starts to tell the nurse to check for flu, okay sure make sense since this years shot is pretty much useless. Rattles off the full bloodwork and Zofran for nausea. and turns to leave, I said what about my pain? I am unable to even stand up straight. he said well I'm not sure you need pain meds I said you must have missed that training in med school that a patients pain must be treated. He finally relented and said he would allow "some morphine"

WTF ? really ?

Why are so many Doctors and medical professionals so horribly uneducated in fibro and bipolar???? This Doctor was a D1ck plain and simple .

I requested to be discharged late today because I was tired of the treatment, all tests came back "normal" , YAY I am happy , no flu or Cdiff, etc . So tossed me in the Gastroendonitis diagnosis , fine whatever. Now I am home is severe pain and just plain pissed about it all .. My Blood pressure is still too low , I am able to keep fluids down and I will just have to wait this out. I see my GP on Monday and go from there , hopefully I will be fine by then.

There is no excuse for being treated this way !
