Hehe. I am in the southern hemisphere so getting into very hot weather. The snakes are very active and vicious at this time of year. I have seen 3 this season, with my friends seeing another 4 on the same property - all dugites and tiger snakes who's venom can kill if you are not provided with the antivenom (a 40 minute drive to the closest hospital). The dugites tend to nick off but will go you if cornered, and the tigers are fighters.

It would be fine if my neighbours were home but they are all away on holidays so I have no one close by to help me if the snake does become a threat. I worry about the 4 dogs, 2 sheep, pig, goat, chickens, mini ponies and of course my beautiful riding horse knowing that the snake is still out there (usually we kill them on site as they are a threat to the children and animals).

But honestly the snake is the least of my problems this chrissy, feels like just another excuse not to ride my horse, which is one of the best therapies!
