Hi, I struggled for many years trying to get clean and sober. The last time, I tried a few different things:
I prayed every morning for 1 clean day. (Despite being agnostic).
Daily meetings.
Actually listening at meetings with an open mind.
Having a sponsor and trying to muddle through the steps.

With a little effort and luck, the days turned into weeks, then months, now I have over 20 years. If a screw-up like me can do it, I think it's possible for anyone. Keep trying, even after a "slip".
