most recent T was at a community clinic with very few chairs for their "waiting area" and closets as therapy offices. T before that was another community clinic, but specialized in SA and state child abuse investigations. Their waiting room was almost always full (thought heartbreakingly so when there were very young kids. I was one of the few adult clients in the waiting room at any given time). They also frequently had detectives, people from child protective services, and the local sheriff's office come through the waiting room. Even with all the activity though, I was only ever really uncomfortable one time when a woman was yelling at someone over the phone...
T before that was in a small office with 3 T's total (my T was the intern, the two others were his supervisors so I knew them and they knew of me). The waiting room was comfy until they stuck a receptionist desk in it and added the receptionist...
(I've pretty much always been to community mental health centers, so others in the waiting room has not bothered me much at all. I've never been alone in any of the waiting rooms actually...)
