I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband.

I agree with bebop that it's best not to hide it. When I was ten my dad died and my family didn't talk about it much when I was around. I guess they didn't want to upset me, but it would have been in my best interest if they would have included me in those conversations, as tough as they might have been.
