I know that dosage changes suck but you really should bring this up to your doctor. Your doctor knows that you just made a major change in your medication, and he likely won't be surprised.

For what it's worth- I started on 2,000mg of depakote (prescribed when I was inpatient) and have had my dosage decreased as I've developed a better handle on my AP symptoms. Are you still on it or did you switch completely again to haldol?

What are your triggers? Is there anything that you can do to prevent the situation from coming up?
