Hey Angelique ! Yes, if you're challenged, short and slow walks can definitely help. It's definitely better than doing nothing at all. You might just have to walk a lot (at least an hour a day) to notice significant weight loss ... again, that also depends on your food intake, etc, so ...

Some trivia: To lose 1 lb of weight a week, you need a calorie deficit of 500 calories per day (you eat 500 calories less than you expend, per day). This is because 1 lb = roughly 3,500 calories = 7 * 500.
