Basically, you're grieving a loss. Grief takes time. Allow yourself to feel your feelings.
I haven't seen one of my Ts in 9 years and I still miss her. But the feelings gradually got less intense.
One thing I've learned: the more you try to forget something, the harder it is to forget it. It's because you'reconstantly reminding yourself, you're fighting your thoughts and emotions. You have to acknowledge the thoughts and feelings and accept them for what they are. Only then does it become easier.
