I totally stumbled upon my psychiatrist. The first time I had to be admitted to the hospital, I was randomly assigned to him. He offered to take me on as an outpatient (something I found out later he doesn't usually do with inpatients--not sure what possessed him that day), and I've been with him ever since. Amazingly skilled pdoc. I agree; I've been very lucky that way.
