have been both a life saver and a sanity endangering experience. In October, I started a new job in internet sales. I love to sell stuff. I'm good at selling stuff. I work in an office with only one other person, with my boss 40 miles down the mountain. It is an ideal job. If only...

I work with a woman who has no business working at all. I went into this position in a state of depression and it has helped. She went into this position a couple of days before me and within a week of starting tried to kill herself. A police officer came into my office early in the morning and asked if I had seen her. He then told me that she had an argument with her boyfriend the night before and took off with a bottle of pills and a gun. They found her moments from death. She spent the next 6 days in the hospital. The day after being released she was back at work. A drugged out zombie.

Since then it has been downhill. She refuses to learn the job. I suspect that she has sabotaged her computer a couple of times, so that she didn't have to work with the phones or customers. Did I mention that it was a sales position?

I finally started complaining to my boss and documenting the incidents. Her taking off in the middle of the day, her faking illness so she could take off early for a weekend out of town, her refusal to do anything around the office.

I think she's about to be fired. I hope she's about to be fired. I am blaming her for this current bout of depression. The pressure associated with the sales and my inability to meet my goals because I have to do her job too, and the overall feeling of being a big fat rat fink for documenting her abuses have really done a number on my already tenuous grasp on my emotional health.

So, now I think she knows that I ratted her out. I have to work with her in the morning and until HR does something about her.

A job that I should and do love outside of the crazy stuff going on in my office.

Thanks for reading this silliness. I needed to get it out somewhere.
