Then follow all the suggestions that have gotten people lasting sobriety.

I know a guy who relapsed hard every year for like ten years straight. Today he has 15 years. I always saw him working very hard so I didn't understand it. I need to ask him if he knows why. Never never give up. I have twenty years now. The last five years of using was heavy meth. That got ugly.

And I should say I went to my first AA meeting years before I got sober. I would go to meetings and get a six pack on the way home. I knew I needed help but wasn't quite ready yet.

Lol! I used to leave meetings during the break and get loaded, all that talk of booze made me crave it really bad!! I rarely made it all the way to the end.
