We do have a rather strict rule here about conducting research. I am not under the impression that you are "doing research" here as much as asking for sources of information (i.e. you are looking for reference for your course, not looking for us to be that reference).

But please understand that many members here are VERY sensitive to that concern, both as a matter of policy and as a matter of having been "burned" at other websites by such things. DocJohn, the creator of these forums, has a stict policy that he will NEVER use any of the members or posts here as a part of his ongoing work in the field, and that he will NOT ALLOW anyone else to do so, and that promise is why many people feel safe as members here.

With regard to what might be personal support that you may benefit from, don't feel pressured to post, but do read and post when you feel comfortable. You will find that this is a very supportive place. We do insist that any posts in that regard, as well as reading, be for personal support and understanding of these illness, and not be "fishing for information" for the purpose of coursework. You were straightforward in your request in this thread so I do not imagine that will be a problem.

With regard to info, the information on the home page of this website (click on "home" on the top left) is chock full of information and links to informative website, from quizzes to explanations and definitions to current news and opinions and views from the medical community. It might be a good place to start for all of the information you are looking for.
