When do you go inpatient for depression?

Last two weeks my depression is worsening, I would say severe.

My doctor has me on a new SNRI for the past 4 weeks, I'm afraid to stop taking it. She did say if things got worse to stop the new med. I'm also having trouble eating, sleeping, and getting to work. I don't see my pdoc until late next week. I'm not suicidal but the nurse at the doc office told me to go to an ER on Monday when I called because the docs are out for the holiday.
